Update 0.9.10
Field Guide to Iridia » Devlog
Well, it's been 3 months since my last update, but I wanted to hold off until I got all the entries got their Frame art. And that's been done, courtesy of Spiral_Joe, Moiderah, Cosmixian, and Cozzymandias! This art has also been added to the LCP! As for the actual mechanical updates:
- Astraea's Goddess Banner: Reduced to Burst 2, for balance purposes after consideration with the Ersa's new Inertia Pylons.
- Fixed Astraea's Zealot reaction not being in the lcp.
- Enyo's Vectored Thrusters are replaced with the Gravimetric Snare. The Thrusters were just too much action economy, so they got replaced with something more melee focused (which also ties into one of the Wrathborn's traits).
- Ersa's Repulsor Fence is replaced with Inertia Pylons. While a fun idea, the Fences were, in practice, incredibly unweildy. This also gives another in-License target for Emergency Fabrication Reserves.
- Hera's Divine Imposition is replaced by the Guidance Drone. Divine Imposition was too close to the Silver's Reality Storm, and the license didn't have as much Support gear as I wanted.
- Iris's Echo-Class NHP has been corrected to only affect hostile characters. Forcing your allies to attack you was unintentional.
- Selene's Lunar Warding trait has been reworded to clarify what happens in the case of multiple adjacent Drones, and has been reduced to 1/round.
- Silver's Reality Storm: Tweaked to something I was happier with, feel-wise.
- Luna's Lightning Rapier: Renamed to Quicksilver Edge as the identity evolved a bit while conceptualizing the art.
- Castilla's Exigency Nanites: Entirely reworked, as the previous version was far too situational. It would require you to want to clear a condition and burn at the same time.
- Castilla's Core Active: Tweaked the last bullet point to be a ribbon instead of a downside. It was just thematic overhead in a CP that already has a lot to keep track of, and wasn't meaningful.
- Removed the Radiant Coruscation Core Bonus, because it was too similar in effect to Resonant Armaments
- The Severable Framework Core Bonus has been buffed to be 1/round instead of 1/scene. Because, really, it's spending 1 repair for that effect.
- Ward Shaper 2 has been changed to only get free repairs for systems destroyed by that rank. It was a neat ribbon, but was too abusable with the Wrathborn Enyo and the new Severable Framework changes, circumventing costs.
And that's all for this time, folks! I'm hoping that next update will be able to be a little bit sooner and a little bit more exciting. But, we'll have to see what life brings.
